Age and Sex/Gender effects on cardiac homeostasis

We aim to understand how age and sex/gender associated effects on the immune system and subsequent consequences to cardiac homeostasis. Our focus is to determine potential mechanisms for age-associated risks for cardiovascular disease including effects of menopause. Our goal is to discover key cellular regulators that may act as biomarkers for cardiovascular disease pathology.
