Periodontitis effects on post-MI healing

We aim to explain why periodontitis is correlated with cardiovascular disease. Our focus is to characterize cellular populations that alter with periodontitis and determine effects on post-MI remodeling. Our goal is to identify potential therapeutic targets for periodontitis patients to present and/or reverse cardiovascular disease pathology.
